ExamPadi is operated by SYSTEMCOG ENTERPRISE ("we", "us", "our"), No 2 Eva Street, Urora, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. This policy explains what personal data the ExamPadi mobile app and website collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 (NDPA). By creating an ExamPadi account you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We only collect what the app needs in order to work.
- Account details. Your phone number (used to sign in), and the name, exam type (JAMB, WAEC or both), exam date and subject selections you enter during setup. You may optionally add an email address.
- Practice activity. The questions you attempt, your answers, scores, time spent, practice streaks and the study analytics we generate from them. This is what powers your performance reports and study plan.
- Theory answers and tutor messages. The text you submit for AI grading and the questions you ask the AI tutor.
- Payment records. Your subscription status, plan, amount paid, payment reference and any voucher you redeem. Card and bank details are entered on Paystack's own secure checkout — we never see or store your card number, CVV or bank password.
- Device and technical data. A push-notification token, app version, device type and basic error logs, used to deliver reminders and to diagnose crashes.
- Support messages. Anything you send us by email, phone, WhatsApp or the in-app support form.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or the contents of other apps on your device.
2. How we use your information
- To create your account, sign you in with a one-time password (OTP), and keep it secure.
- To deliver practice questions, mock exams, marking, explanations and offline packs.
- To build your performance analytics, weak-topic reports and personalised study plan.
- To grade theory answers and answer your tutor questions using AI.
- To process subscriptions, trials, vouchers and receipts.
- To send you practice reminders, streak nudges, trial and renewal notices, and service updates.
- To respond to support requests and to detect abuse, fraud or account sharing.
- To improve ExamPadi — measured in aggregate, not by reading individual accounts for curiosity.
3. Service providers we share data with
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with advertisers. We share the minimum necessary with the providers that run parts of the service:

Some of these providers process data outside Nigeria. Where that happens we rely on their contractual data-protection commitments to keep your data protected to the standard the NDPA requires.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
4. AI features
When you use AI theory grading or the AI tutor, the text of your answer or question — together with the related exam question — is sent to Anthropic's API to generate the grade or explanation. We do not send your name, phone number or payment details with it. Your submissions are not used to train AI models.
5. Offline data on your device
Downloaded question packs, your answers and your progress are stored on your device so you can practise without internet. This data is removed when you log out, switch accounts, or uninstall the app.
6. How long we keep data
- Account and practice data: for as long as your account is active.
- After deletion: we remove your personal data within 30 days of a verified deletion request, except records we must keep by law (payment and tax records, kept for up to 6 years).
- OTP codes: minutes — they expire shortly after being sent.
- Support messages: up to 2 years.
7. Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Access to production data is restricted to staff who need it, and administrative actions are logged. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your phone and OTP codes to yourself — anyone with your OTP can access your account.
8. Children
ExamPadi is built for secondary-school candidates, and many are under 18. If you are under 18, please use ExamPadi with the knowledge and permission of a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian may contact us at any time to review or delete their child's data.
9. Your rights
Under the NDPA you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your account and personal data;
- stop sending you marketing or reminder notifications;
- restrict or object to how we use your data.
To delete your account or make any of these requests, email support@systemcog.cc from the address on your account, or message us on WhatsApp at +234 904 615 6799. We will verify that the request is yours and respond within 30 days, free of charge.
You can turn off push notifications at any time in your device settings without affecting the rest of the app.
10. Cookies
This website uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Our admin dashboard uses a session cookie that is strictly necessary for staff sign-in.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as ExamPadi changes. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version, and we will notify you in the app before any change that materially affects your rights.
